I visited Goldfield twice this trip and photographed these tanks both days at approximately the same time of day under slightly different lighting conditions. This is a montage of two different shots, so it really doesn't look like this. The sky was plain stark blue, so I blended in another sky as well. Sometimes it's fun to alter reality. If you imagine the 3 tanks in front with a plain blue sky, that is what it really looked like. They were delightfully rusty and, of course, the saturation has been pushed a bit.
