26-05-05 the bend in the river

This shot was taken from a steep bank, looking down onto the river don, as it winds its way into
Dyce, and then through Aberdeen. I had headed out to their, as there are a series of carved
pictish stones, set in the ruined church where they were found. My intention had been to use the
photo’s of the stones as the PAD, but I wasn’t happy with the framing. I’d have had to crop the
frame, and when you’re without PS its easier said than done.

Besides the stones were a bit of a write off really. I got to the chapel, and midway through
lining up the shot realised that someone had recently sprinkled the ashes of a loved one all
throughout the chapel, and here was me, right in the middle of them. EUGH. At that point I cut my
losses, and headed out, to watch the fishermen on the bank fly-fishing.

Again this is another shot from the “cheated series”, due to film malfunction. It also represents
the last of the uploads for a while. The reason being I’m off traveling again. First of all
Glasgow for the weekend, followed by a rushed visit to Edinburgh, and onto London. Hopefully the
rest of the shots from the month will be uploaded over the weekend once I’m home. If not though
some semblance of normality will resume as I should be back in the office for a while. That is if
some ageing rockstar doesn’t decide to announce a giant concert right next to one of our offices –
causing untold work, stress, anxiety and YET MORE travel.

If that was to happen, well, it really would be a bummer!

So green...I'm so envious. Love the ribbon of light in the water.

Beautiful, love the bend in the river and the light reflected off it.
