08-09-04 towering above its waters sublime

I had a meeting in Edinburgh today with KPMG.
Up at the crack of dawn to catch the train.
And then straight home afterwards to watch the Scotland game.

Took this leaning out the window,
worrying about impending death any minute
visions of meeting an oncoming train!

This is of course a photo of the silvery Tay.
The quote is from a poem, on the same subject.

I was just lucky it was so calm!

Perfect reflections of the clouds and great perspective.

Great job, Dominic. What about making a project out of shooting the Firth of Forth bridge? Get yourself a extremely wide angle lens, find the perfect perch, wait till sundown, have your tripod and exposure set up and BOOM!

a real beauty!

SO VERY COOL! Love this one alot! THe sky, the reflection....I can't say anything eloquent here, I'm too tired, but I have looked at it twice and really like it!

I'm stunned at the immensity of this image. The bridge AND the sky seem to be infinite.. excellent photograph, Dom

Hello, hello, hello. Cracking shot there! And from a moving train... The Tay looks a lot nicer with a good reflection rather than it's normal silver tone.
Guest 08-Sep-2004 21:40
