Sign 'O' The Times

Is it me or does there seem to be a trend to put pointless signs everywhere stating the obvious?
Do people actually need to be told that it might be bad idea to walk into a flooded area? My
favorite sign is "In the event of flooding seek higher ground" - would people strap themselves
down and wait for the flood to recede? Please allow us to use some common sense, or at least
allow stupid people to fall foul of their stupidity!!!!

I agree with you 100%, Dave; unfortunately, if a person falls foul of their own stupidity we’ll all end up paying their medical bills or face lawsuits (at least in the U.S.) for not saving them. It is very sad that we have to pay for other's stupidity. :(

LOL! Good point, Dave!!! I have observed however, that not everyone in life is blessed with "common sense". Not sure why, BUT.......................... I think they mean it's OK to use the walk if you have a "life jacket" on!
