Shining Through

Sundown seems to be about 6:15PM, so driving home through the small wood at the bottom of Daniels
Park has the sun shining through the leaves. The colour caught my eye so I stopped for a shot or
three. In this case I liked the effect on the sun through the leaves and the lens flare, which I
hasten to add was deliberate - sometimes deliberate cockups seem to work!

Beautiful sparkling light and excellent composition. And yes indeed, the lens flare makes the shot. I see this is done intentionally in big movies as well. Are you going "Hollywood" on us Dave??? hehe

That's not a lens flare...it's a Magical forest-dwelling Pixie and you're really lucky to have captured one because I've heard that they're really shy and Very Fast! Great shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
