First Light

I woke up at the crack of Dawn - nice girl, but I decided to go for a drive!!! Being on call I had
to limit myself to within 10 minutes of home so I went to Cathedral Rock to catch the first light.
On the drive there I was lucky enough to see a small herd of Elk and a few Mule Deer. You can just
make out three Mule Deer in the bottom left of this shot by the line of bushes - not Dawn's!!
More than anything it was an excuse to try my new 24mm F2.8 lens in addition to my 50mm F1.8
I decided on in preference to my 18-70mm.

Nikon D70s
1/25s f/11.0 at 24.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Looks like the lens does the business!!! Lovely colours - so rich, makes the rock look like our Devon red soil!
