A Break In The Weather

We had a hell of a storm yesterday evening and one lightning strike was close enough to knock out the
traffic lights I was waiting at. Today was overcast most of the day but vaguely cleared for an hour or
so, so we popped out. In the background was another huge storm building and within a few minutes of
this shot we were caught in a deluge with lightning striking within a mile of a us.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a clearer day.............................

Beautiful. We lost power in the middle of last night for about a half hour - it's so hot and humid here, it's good that it didn't last much longer.

This is a perfect capture of that special light that comes with thunderstorms. I don't like thunderstorms, but I do love that light. It is magical! And it is a great shot. it has calmness on the surface but I feel the tension of the anticipated storm building up.
