Having worked a few long days and nights(!) I decided to drift in late this morning. This Western
Meadowlark was sat on a post on one of my alternative routes to work. With the temperatures of late
hovering in the 90Fs, I suspect the open mouth is him panting. He seemed happy as long I inched
the car forward slowly, but at least I managed a closer shot than a few weeks ago.
