Fresh Salad

With it being Fathers Day we did the typical thing and took Beth to Denver Zoo.
Generally, zoos depress me, but I was impressed by Denver Zoo, although seeing the larger animals
brought back the usual feelings that often overtake me over a period of time in any zoo.
I found it a little bizarre, that whilst most of the animals are 'imprisoned', others choose
to make a home in the surroundings!

I have seen the "wild inside a zoo" phenomena myself. I am so pleased you made the same choice of subjects I would have. Bravo. V

Lovely picture. So kind of the chipmunk to pose so well and in such a picturesque environment for you.

Nice to see he has all he wants...pity it wasn't that way for many animals forced to live in captivity or die :>(

This is a great portrait! Well done.
I agree about zoos, but I've often found the odd thing that chooses to be there ... no dogs or cats, I suppose!

This is a fantastic catch. The DOF is perfect, and the comp with the splash of the yellow flower in the background is excellent. Plus, it's just a darn cute subject! Great job. voted
