We went up Pikes Peak to spread Muffy's ashes.
When we left home it was 67F, but by the time we hit the summit it was 27F.
As we started at the entrance a storm was rolling in and for most of the drive
we were hearing thunder, seeing lighting and driving through blowing snow.
The locals call it thundersnow, not a normal mix of weather!!!
At the summit, literally as we started spreading Muffy's ashes another roll of
thunder started. Muffy's final resting place is at 14,110 feet overlooking
Colorado Springs and Castle Rock. We get to see where she is from near home,
and she gets to look down to see that we're OK.
