Louviers is a little town a short distance away and has the only 'wood' near us, short of having to drive into the foothills and mountains.
This was a catch of the last light and luckily there's a small hillside behind to make the backdrop seem dark.
The wood is a lovely spot to wander with the river running through it, so I suspect we'll be back more frequently now we've found it.
