Hi. It's only soldered on top. ANY similar type / size will be fine, in fact you can even solder flying leads and fit the battery elsewhere (IF you can find room). Same as is often done on PC M/Boards. How difficult depends entirely on how "confident" you feel you are dismantling the cam. Many 100's+ users have been quite successful.

Does the battery solder in or slide under clip? Is this a battery that can be commonly found or special item? How difficult is it to replace?
