Life Imitates Art Imitates Life

Posting a bit early, I get on a great big airplane
in a couple of hours and won't be home until late
tomorrow night. Promise to catch up with comments
on Friday!

I have a second choice for today's SQUID and I really
had a tough time deciding. If you'd be so kind as to
visit here http://www.pbase.com/digitalgee/image/63785613
and let me know how you would have chosen, I'll be
eternally grateful.

Okay... I am giving you my comment here on faith that I will indeed have your ETERNAL gratitude. Okay, I like the composition (I think in pad parlance that would be referred to as "compo") of the other photo better than this one, but I like the more natural look of this one better than the other one. Except that there is something interesting about a photo of a painting which is made to look like the painting so I am a bit torn. And that's my 2 centavos.

Two super images but I prefer this one as it's more natural

Very nice, a modern day left handed Georgia O'keeffe.

Both are great, but I like this one a little more. Great shot and title! V.

Amazing capture!!! A vote from me!

I love them both, really a tough choice, but I think I like the second better, the painted look of a painter, beautiful work!

Love this!! Both are beautiful, but there is something so lovely about this shot! Vote!

Well done Gary!!! Both are fantastic!!! I think because of the colors this would be my choice.
Guest 20-Jul-2006 14:26
Great color. Nice comp. Well captured.
I did not have to think about it long to decide I definitely prefer this shot.

nice shot!

Wonderful capture Gary, beautiful work. I like the other also but this would have been my choice also. Have a terrific trip. GMV

This one is the better one: it just feels better. The texture of the other one is a distraction. But it's all relative anyway.

As usual nicely seen and well executed.
Was she cute? ;-)

My favorite of the 2. Love the concentration - well it is not the exact translation of what I think of, but that's the best I can do!

Gorgeous scene.
Guest 20-Jul-2006 01:34
I rather your second choice!!
Guest 20-Jul-2006 00:23
This would be my choice.
Sheila20-Jul-2006 00:10
I think this for your PaD. Something about her concentration, the way she's leaning forward so you get that nice diagonal.

I went back and forth many times and decided I like this one the best.
love that hat on the artist

This one is nice that is why I like it second best to your other choice.
Cindi Smith19-Jul-2006 23:18
Okay, I looked at both and I like your 2nd choice better....the treatment is really great on that one. This one is wonderful too, however! It was a hard decision.
Cindi Smith19-Jul-2006 23:17
Wonderful shot! I like the title too!
