Former Dairy Farms

Thirty years ago, when I arrived in San Diego, you would have
seen cattle in the fields from this view. This is Mission
Valley, land of shopping centers and condos now, and more
traffic than you can shake a stick at. The view is from Trolley
Barn Park, in University Heights.

It's sad, isn't it? Like Don Henley sang, "Call someplace Paradise, kiss it goodbye."

"They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."

I always wonder if there will be any open country left.

And they call it 'progress'!
(So now there are all these homeless cows wandering around San Diego ...?)
