All I did was open the previous image in Adobe Camera Raw and desaturate it. (I was watching a program about photographer Robert Frank on the Ovation channel (Direct TV). They were discussing his book "The Americans", a collection of b/w photos he took in the 50's...and I wanted to see what a simple desaturation would produce.)
