Backdrop-Posing Stand

Janet and her adorable rescue chihuahua, "Pru". Backdrop is 8 x 10 with a wooden support stapled on the top. Support has a hole on either end which fits right on top of the Savage PortaStand paper holder stands I got from B & H. I left the bar on (without paper). You can buy the canvas with or without the support (I recommend getting it with the support). Comes in various sizes. She said she asked them not to paint the white spot too "hot". She made the posing stand herself and stresses that the 5th leg in the middle is very important if you are going to have a lot of weight on it. 3/4" plywood (I suspect it is nominally "one inch" is covered with a flat berber-type indoor outdoor carpeting which grips fabric drapes very nicely and keeps them from slipping. Here's a link to the background: http://cart.owens-originals.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=OMPG Janet says this is her most useful background and she uses gels over a light placed behind the table shining on the backdrop if she wants to change its color. Table dimensions 2.5 feet x 5 ft - 15-18" high, 1 foot pipes screwed into metal flanges (found in the plumbing department). Click on "next" for closeup. Good fabric for draping - microfiber - washable. Unfortunately, many Wal-Marts have eliminated their fabric departments!
