Cheating the Season!

These trees lined the road into a large farm that is currently being developed into a housing subdivision. Many of them have been removed. I changed the image by first making two duplicate layers of the original (click on "previous) and using Gaussian blur on the first duplicate (middle layer).

Then I clicked on the second duplicate and lower the opacity of that layer until the picture took on a dreamy, diffused look.

After merging the layers (or flattening them)I followed that with increased saturation of all the colors (Hue/Saturation "Master" saturation slider to the right.)

Next I chose just the red and saturated that, which gave me a bonus of red leaves on the trees.
