A night at the Wang
So my friend Rick sent me an email.
He told me about a new show that was out.
It is by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Well, or course being newly single,
let me just say that plans are easy.
Not much notice was needed,
so tonight I went to the show.
It is called "Whistle Down the Wind".
It was only playing in Boston a short time.
Laury read the synopsys in the car on the way.
I had pretty low expectations after hearing it.
The show started kind of slow.
Some of the dialog was awkward
and was spoken with a thick southern accent.
However, there were some spectacular singers in it.
The girl who played Swallow was just wonderful
and the man that played Jesus,
well oh my goodness, could he sing.
It ended up being a really enjoyable show.
Its always nice to go to a show with
low expectations and come out impressed.
I mean, it is not going to replace
Phantom or JCS in my mind,
but I am glad I went to it.
AND the best part?
Well, Laury was reading the program,
and saw that Chess is playing through tomorrow.
Obviously, more quickly made plans and poof,
another show tomorrow!
So, let me get this straight:
Friday - Whistle down the Wind
Saturday - Chess
Sunday - SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I am having a good weekend!
