I don't think you could name any
married man that could pull this off.
Heck, it even disgusts me ;-)
There is no way I could have
pulled it off when I was married.

There are lots of things in this picture.
Granted, yes, the centerpiece is 2 HDTVs.
Yes, they were playing 2 different football games.

On the mantle is the bottle of wine
that I emptied the day Karen Moved out.

On the left side TV stand are 3 seasons of "House"
That is an odd story in itself.
During the time leading up to
the divorce I was emotionaly paralyzed.
I really was not able to do anything.
I could not even watch regular TV
because I was just ripped up.
Well, I found out that I could watch House.
There was something about it that was mindless.
Almost comforting in a strange way.
So I went out and picked up the first season.
I watched all 24 episodes of it, all of it.
Well the last 2 weeks leading up to court were the worst.
I went out and picked up the next 2 seasons.
Mindless entertainment that kept me from going crazy.
I have to say that it passed the time.
I was watching 3 or 4 of them every night.
Thank goodness court finally arrived and the divorce happened,
because I don't think I ever want to watch that show again.

You can also see the china cabinet on the right.
Every glass in it is new.
I actually did that over the 6 months after she moved.
They were all there for Thanksgiving.

The systems are not all wired in yet.
I might make some more changes before wiring everything fully.
The biggest bummer is that I have to wait until next season
because all the playoff games don't overlap on broadcast.
I guess the overlap of football with the Celtics will
provide more opportunity to use both at the same time.
Go ahead and say it, I am a pig.
I almost didn't post this because it is so nuts.
Obviously though I did post it.
It is a picture of part of my life,
so it goes into the Life Project.

Working hard and playing harder.
The next big change here will be painting.
Bedroom first, and then the kitchen.

I guess I am not emotionally paralyzed anymore ;-)
