Remember the floods way back in 10?
Well if it was a 100 year storm they will.
And that is what it was for sure I reckon.
I have lived in the area all my life.
There was water where I had never seen it.
Rivers just overflowing their banks.
Some were spectacular in their horror.
One was in Ashland, just plain wow.
The lake was flowing over the dam.
No that happens all the time.
They built it really well.
The water cascades over the rocks there.
It is all splashing and white water.
Not on this day it wasn't though.
It was just a carpet of water.
The rocks were just not to be seen.
They were so deep under water then.
It was so strange to see it smooth.
Just flowing at full speed over the dam.
They are already blaming it on Global Warming.
I heard that on WBZ this morning and laughed.
We really know nothing about the climate.
Earth is still a total mystery to us I think.
We think our few hundred years of data matters.
Really it is the old elephant parable.
5 blind men walk up to an elephant.
They each describe the part they feel.
None of them know the whole story though.
You have to see the whole elephant to know.
And even then, how much do you really know?
The elephant knows though.
And he wonders about you.
