Buffy untied me
Life can have some crazy times in it.
Take this week for example, my week.
First time since the divorce I called my ex.
Well, there were other calls, (not nice ones).
Discussing the divorce and procedures.
Or the time discussing taxes the next year.
Or the suggestion that she stop butt dialing me.
(ok, very harsh suggestion, it was every week!).
So this was the first normal polite one.
It was really just to find out how she was doing.
And more than that, it was to figure out how I was.
Divorce can do all kinds of things to emotions.
They can get all out of kilter at small things.
And that is what happened with me this week.
Of course, she never called me back (duh).
And I just got all wonked up over it all.
I started feeling like I did near the end of it.
While we were still "together" and before.
I felt like crap during that time.
I started feeling like crap again.
Well tonight Buffy had a chat with me.
She has such amazing perspective.
Fortunately I am strong enough to handle it.
She went right to the meat of it.
She knew what was going on, and pointed to it.
Very kindly speaking of it and showing me.
And it was that perspective that I needed.
Sometimes we are blind to our own issues.
Sometimes light can only be shined from outside.
And that is exactly what she did for me.
Just looking at my thoughts honestly.
Yeah, it is crazy good with Buffy.
So good that we can process my stuff.
Both Buffy and I wondered how long it is good.
I am talking about the call I made.
I mean how long and she is calling back?
Is that 2 days? 4 days? Weeks?
I say 4 days is the outside range.
In this case, it could be 5 though.
That gives time to think about it.
Plus that gets it to the weekend in this case.
Longer than that is just weird.
I'll keep you "posted" if the call comes.
Finally, why am I writing all of this?
Because this is part of the process I choose.
I keep parts of this blog as reminders.
As I go through it I love looking at the trip.
All these little sign posts in the road of life.
This is just another one.
