Did they ever meet?

This may have been their only chance.
They were both pumping gas.
They could be meant for each other.
Maybe both of them need a drink?
Maybe they will meet inside the station.
Or maybe they would be horrible together.
Maybe they met, but then fought.
Maybe it even ended in divorce.
You never know the odds.
Maybe someone great is right there.
Close enough to smell their gas.
Or maybe it is all just hot air.

It is all about Buffy.
What are the odds that I met her?
It might be as random as these two.
Just a chance crossing of paths.
Just a lucky piece of timing.
A bit of time one way or the other?
We might have missed each other.
That would have sucked.
