Water flowing across the road at Portumna. The water is flowing into the area protected by pumped drainage around Portumna. The road has been closed to traffic because of the danger of very strong flows, even the road could be vulnerable. There are 60hp pumps located all along the protected area but these may not be running at present. There may be some buildings in the flood plane because it is eighty years since the area was last flooded.
