Dennis stopped on the road (no shoulder for stopping) entering Kinbrook Island Provincial Park so that I could try to take a picture of an American Avocet at a roadside slough. After being chased off by a Conservation Officer who didn't think it was a good idea to 1) stop in the middle of the road, and 2) hop over the barbed-wire fence, I settled for this photo taken close to a turnoff at the park entrance.
