Iba, in the Filipino province of Zambales, is about 1 1/4 hours away from Subic Bay. The ABS-CBN Foundation's Eco village is located in Iba. Running beside the Eco Village is the Takar River. In this area at least, the river has a remarkable property—the water at the bottom of the river is hot, while the water nearer the surface is much cooler. It makes for blissful swimming!
