Actually, what you are looking at is layers of shale that are upturned on edge and the scene is maybe 80 feet wide.

Interesting image from - well not very much really. I just miss these kinds of opportunities because they are less obvious. I love the colour of the sea and the texture of the wood. It all just works so well together.
