This was shot with the monstrous 200mm f/2 VR Nikkor lens from Nikon which was designed for low-light,indoor sports like volleyball and gymnastics, but it's one of the most beautiful portrait lenses of all-time. Here I used it outdoors in open shade with the Vivitar 285 HV flash at half-power at 30 feet to put some light on the foreground leaves and to give a tiny amount of fill and eye-sparkle in the shade.
