DSCF0720_300mmMirror.JPG

back yard at twilight

The robins that live and nest in my neighborhood use this neighbor's wispy, willowy tree as a morning and evening territorial marker. While photographing a moonrise with the 300mm f/5.6 Celestron mirror lens, I saw a robin take up position in this tree,so I shot a few frames. In this case, the inherently high light fall-off and poor evenness of illumination of this little 1980's Celestron mirror lens actually aids and adds to the image's mood I think.
