I photographed these Aspen leaves on a young tree on an early June, 2008 evening. I used the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L-IS lens,and you can clearly see how this lens renders out of focus specular highlights when shooting at the small aperture of f/8. This image has had some noise and filtration added, in an effort to make the photo look a bit like film, and also to add some artificial lens flare. I seldom manipulate my images, but I felt that the original "straight" rendition of this scene was just a bit too bland.
