Hi Derek,The last time I pulled into said carpark, the charge was £2,notso long ago,so I had £2 in my pocket.I quickly moved on,eventually parking beside the Crinkledykes limekiln. When I returned to my car, someone else had opted to do the same.Obviously lots of Scots tourists that day. Thanks for your comments.

I conduct Tideswell Singers and am organising a singing workshop day in the Cathedral of the Peak. Please could you tell me if it would be possible to use your photo in our publicity material. Many thanks Carol

Derek,

I hope you don't mind if I copy your idea of the 'alternative' theory about the Parallel Roads in Glen Roy when I take visitors up there. I just found it so funny.

Lochaber Geopark Project Officer.

Thank you for giving a name (Fred really!) to the orange photographer in the Loop.
We are finalising plans for this years visit to the UK in 4 weeks staying in Much Wenlock again.
I plan to go to the Loop at least twice.
I may see you in the hills or somewhere in Shropshire

Hi Derek

I am interested in your pictures of the Dominie you took in the loop on Friday. It was one of my last trips before start 100 sqn and was wondering if the quality on your site is the same as it was taken at or its been cropped? If not can have/buy the 3 at a high quality??????

Hi Mike, Yes the A487 is part of the Loop, from this photo they can go left at Tal Y Llyn(Corris Corner) south to Machynlleth, then left along the Dovey Valley to Dinas Mawddwy , left there through the Bwlch toward the Cross Foxes and then left again to follow the A487. That would be "The Mach(ynlleth) Loop" 22 odd miles done in 3 minutes = around 420+ MPH !. The "Loop" is generally considered to be one-way in the direction described.
Many other areas of N Wales are used too.

Hi Derek, the other day my little girl who is four saw the picture you took of her pony when the field was flooded. I would like to get her a high res copy to frame rather than print from pc. Would this be possible please? The photo is S5500 Horses 0047. Many thanks. Belinda

Derek,
Thanks for visiting and kind comments about my pictures. I agree with you, these fence posts are very much "Aussie", that's why I started taking pictures of them. My only regret is I haven’t done it earlier. Some of them look like very elaborate, modern sculptures by Mother Nature.

Hi there Derek,

I saw your photos of Throwley Old Hall and I think it looks amazing. Me and my friend would like to go there sometime as we're just getting into photography and this would make for some excellent photos but I can't seem to find where it is. Can you tell me roughly where it is please?

Many thanx,
Sharon. E-mail at Nokturna@nyctophobia.net
