This wooden lighthouse built by Thomas Stevenson in 1848
is more accurately described as a 'circular lanternhouse
on a white wooden shed' in the Admiralty's records.
It's situated in the River Tay just a few hundred yards
from Tayport Harbour but was decommisioned in 1960.
Still seems to be a favourite spot for cormorants to perch!
