Although I hadn't been to Culross before, this building seemed strangely familiar to me.
A few weeks later Film 4 screened the 1971 film 'Kidnapped' including a scene where
Michael Caine, playing Alan Breck, walks down this street and up the stairs to the left.
Mystery solved!
Unfortunately my visit coincided with 'bucket day' so the town was littered with
blue refuse bins. Tried to remove this one from the picture but without success!
