Steve Irwin’s daughter to rub shoulders with Russell Crowe and Naomi Watts
Bindi Sue Irwin the eight-year-old eldest child of croc hunter Steve Irwin - the world’s favorite Australian who was unfortunately killed by a stingray last September will be coming to America to promote ‘Bindi Kidfitness’ her 26-part television series - her new fitness video.
She will be appearing on Thursday on the Ellen Degeneres Show, next Wednesday on The Late Show With David Letterman, and next Friday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.,
She will also perform a concert in Los Angeles with her back-up band, ‘The Crocmen’ and attend a gala dinner with Rusell Crowe and Naomi Watts - fellow Aussies.
This is what she told an Australian newspaper before leaving this week for California - “It’s so good because I get to get up and dance — my passion is singing and dancing and saving wildlife and I think it’s so nice that I can sing and dance about wildlife.”
Australian Senator Bill Heffernan is afraid that of the ‘danger signs’ that may affect her normal childhood. He said that she ‘deserves her childhood’.
He seems really concerned - “She’s interested in animals, her daddy’s work. If she wants to play with snakes or bandicoots, she should be allowed to do that at home and not on the public stage, there is a risk this little girl, she might look back in 20 or 30 years and ask, ‘What happened to me?’ ”
This kid surely needs a pat in the back for her pluck and courage and for the fact that she would like to step into daddy’s shoe whatever the risk may be!
