Sidney, Oct. 13: Australian Prime Minister John Howard has said that his Government is contemplating building a permanent memorial for late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin.
He said that he had received a lot of suggestions on how best the wildlife warrior could be honored, and he would discuss them with Irwin’s family "quite soon".
"I've had a deluge of suggestions and I will be discussing it with the family quite soon and then be able to say something," AAP quoted Howard as telling Macquarie Radio.
"I certainly know that the people want it and we've had some very good suggestions and I hope we can come up with a sensible proposal," he said.
Irwin died on September 4 when a stingray barb pierced his chest while filming a nature documentary off Port Douglas in north Queensland. (ANI)
