Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from across the nation and overseas rolled into the 14th annual Arizona Bike Week between April 9 and April 18, 2010. Arizona Bike Week is a huge rally with lots of attractions that are spread across the greater Phoenix area.
Pre-Rally Days kicked off the 10-day event starting April 9, while Bike Week’s highlight, called Cyclefest, took place April 14-18. Events took place all around Phoenix’s Valley of the Sun, while ground zero for Cyclefest was at WestWorld in North Scottsdale.
Bike Week included lots of attractions and events where motorcyclists could shop for motorcycle gear from top vendors with the latest parts, accessories and apparel; demo the newest bikes from major manufacturers such as Harley Davidson; enjoy food from vendors; and take in concerts featuring national headliners.
Several charity rides led by celebrities and top-name custom-bike builders also took place during Bike Week along with bike shows, poker runs, and special events at various motorcycle dealers and favorite local watering holes. After sundown, national recording artists performed nightly at WestWorld in a huge tent, dubbed the HandleBar Saloon.
During Bike Week’s 10 days, the Valley of the Sun’s weather was outstanding. Moreover, as in recent years, the common theme of Bike Week was big motors, blinged-out baggers, radical wide-tire customs and old school choppers, amalgamated with lots of laughter, fooling around, people watching, and partyin’ hardy.
This gallery was shot primarily at the popular Billet Bar, in Old Town Scottsdale. The high-energy Billet Bar is one of the Valleys of the Sun’s premier biker hangouts.
