Market and Penn Street Farmers Market was opened in 1866. Its landmark building
is located at the corner of West Market and Penn Streets in downtown York.
Listed on the National Historic Register, it is the oldest continuously
operating farmers market in York. The Market is owned and run by the vendors,
many of whom are third generation and greater.
