Met my good friend Graham in Yosemite National Park recently, and we enjoyed three days of great hiking, friendship, and photography together. Conditions were excellent, as we enjoyed afternoon thunderstorms daily, which means big fluffy midday clouds and clearing storms at sunset. Can't ask for more than that! Thanks to Graham for being there, as his being there was the impetus for my being there. Once Graham headed back to Alabama, I enjoyed four more days of awesome conditions in the park and in the Hoover Wilderness, which borders the park just east of Tioga Pass. There were lakes and streams and waterfalls and rivers, fluffy clouds and colored clouds and stormy clouds and blue skies, and dew drops and ice crystals in the land of macro. It was an awesome 7 days of sleeping in my truck, getting up in the dark to hike back to various destinations, and 2100 miles of driving. And my back was giving me fits from the start of the trip to the end of it...sometimes I guess you have to suffer for your art!
