![]() Please visit my Nashville Tennessee Websites and my other photo galleries The National Cemetery is located in Madison, a suburb of Nashville, in Davidson County, Tennessee. was established as a U.S. Military Cemetery on Jan. 28, 1867. The Louisville & Nashville Railroad runs through the cemetery, dividing it into two nearly equal halfs. The stone wall around the cemetery and the limestone archway at the front entrance were constructed in 1870. It encompasses 64.5 acres, and as of the end of 2005, had 34,637 interments.These pictures were taken on Memorial Day 2006. |
