Monthaven is the home of the Hendersonville Arts Council and is on the National Historic Register. It was built around 1900 and is located at 1154 West Main Street which follows the stage coach line (Gallatin Pike) between Nashville and Gallatin. During the Civil War there were several skirmishes on the property.
