The annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade through downtown Franklin Saturday December 1, 2012. They expected around 2,000 people to participate in the parade. With the theme of "Inside Santa's Workshop," the parade began at 2 p.m.and followed a route that stretches nearly two miles. It begins at Jim Warner Park stretching along Highway 96 West to Bridge Street before turning onto 3rd Avenue North, around the Public Square and then west onto Main Street. More than 100 floats, bands and other dignitaries. Depending on weather more than 10,000 people were expected to watch the annual parade. |
