4/17/06 - White Iris?
ds20060409_0054awF White Iris.jpg

Silver Spring, MD

Is there really such thing as a white iris? I've really gotta learn more about flowers if I'm going to take pics of them.

PS - slight level adjustment; extract flower from background; insert black-filled layer below extracted image; back off opacity of black layer to about 80%.

Nice image. Like the comp. This is one of what are called "Dutch Irises" It is "beardless", and thus not a bearded iris. A number of different kinds of irises; most of them have natural white variants.
