eighthatf16-pixelshift-50FEmacro.jpg

This is a composite pixel shift image of four exposures on the A7RIII. At f/16, it's not actually got same incredible fine detail bite which studio still life and other tests have had. The purpose here is to show what happens when parts of the subject, like the moving water at 1/8th of a second in each exposure, don't play with the Viewer processing software. A mosaic noise artefact is created in patches - sometimes, the tones and details of the water don't have this effect, but highlights and moving foliage do create it. The pixel shift process can be used for landscapes and natural subjects but very still conditions may be needed.
