Here is the old "Austin" bonnet ornament. Such things are not allowed in this modern day cryogenic,
safety-obsessed, insurance company straightened world. Sigh ..... Hell of a shame!

The dear little Austin hood ornament. When I was 9 our family had one. Not just the ornament but the whole car.
Back then when you put your child in a safety seat it was like two umbrella handles hooked over the seat with a canvas chair seat attached to them and they sat that. Talk about safety!!!
