Most of the southern shoreline of Botany Bay is encompassed by the Towra Point Nature Reserve in
which a variety of threatened natural environments, fish breeding grounds, mangroves and general
wetland areas, together with their associated wildlife, are protected and studied. While intensive
industrial landuse kept us from the foreshore in the northern part of Botany Bay, it is restricted
environmental precincts which keep us from the water here in the south. This viewing platform
promises to give us a little perspective into where we are.
