At this pont we are leaving the city of Rockdale and entering Sutherland Shire. This place is one
of the more desirable places to live in Sydney. Of that there is little doubt. The residents DO
give the impression of undue arrogance however because they insist on calling this area "THE
Shire" ... you know ... the magical, idylic place that Bilbo Baggins came from in "Lord of the
Rings". Paleeeeease! Through the wire fence you may just be able to make out a pedestrian
overpass which crosses Taren Point Road. We are going to cross to the other side.
