We soon reached Parsley Bay Reserve, famous as the annual picnic location for "City to Surf"
competitors. This day, however, the rain hosed down upon us. Luckily we were offered shelter
by the local kiosk owner, where we patiently waited and ate our lunch. As the rain looked
set in for the day, we eventually re-packed everything (including cameras) in as water protectant
a manner as possible, organised spray jackets and parkas for maximum protection and eventually
set out to reach Watson's Bay wharf with as little damage to ourselves & equipment as could be managed.
