Looking south at last we continue on toward Warriewood Beach and Turimetta Head. The going proved especially difficult
across the sand and I began to seek out the best compromises between hard wet sand and dry sections into which my feet
seemed to sink forever. Where we could, we tackled the spinifex vegetation at the upper edge of the foreshore which
was successfully holding together the ground underfoot.
