One of the great things about the Rocks is the multitude of grand old public houses. A traditional pastime for visitors
is to "pub crawl" the 13 local taverns i.e. stop at each bar to order a drink before moving to the next. Perhaps the best
known pub of all is the charming old Palisades, which at the moment is boarded up - evidently awaiting restoration.
