7BW106.jpg

This is the base for the supporting girder structures at the southern pylon. It is interesting to note that the normal two lane
Hickson Rd has - at this point - been converted to a single lane, controlled by traffic lights. The lefthand lane immediately
adjacent to the girder footing has been shut off as a kind of "no go" area, protected by closely spaced posts. Tony thinks that
this is to prevent a terrorism attack in the form of a large vehicle, packed with explosive, being parked so close to the bridge
supports that large scale collapse becomes possible. I suppose he must be right. It's a mad world that we live in.

Last week I had an MRI, and took shots of the beautifully landscaped hospital (outdoors) after. I was stopped and questioned by security people and deleted all my shots. I think they practice their skills? on grandmothers!! I am very shy about shooting in public and now once burned.

A very fine shot with great detail and interesting commentary. V
