Some say a hybid SUV is an oxymoron because it still can't achieve 40 MPG but on the other hand it seems to make sense considering that an expensive SUV can more easily absorb the increased sticker price for including hybrid technology - perhaps its 23 MPG improvement would pay for the added sticker price difference faster than say comparing a Corolla vs a Prius.
